These new swords from Buick Yip are real beauties.  They are factory made instead of handmade, like the Ancient Butterfly Knives, and thus have a nicer look and finish.

 

These swords are 2-in-1 swords meaning they fit together in the same case.  When held in one hand the handles and guards meet, but not the blades.  This means your hands can get a little better grip on the handles over the pure 2-in-1 swords where the blades meet as well and you only have 1/2 a handle.  In this regard they combine the best of both models.

 

Etched into the right blade is a plum flower and the characters for "Wing Chun", in the left is the "Bot Jarm Do"

 

The swords come with a case that has a belt loop so you can wear them around if you like.

These swords cannot be flipped easily if your lineage needs to flip the sword around.  There is not enough space between the back of the blade and the quillion.

 

The guard is very sturdy and can take a beating, however the blades should not be hit on the edge of another sword  directly or they will dent - which is true of almost all swords.

 

Other than that these swords are great.  They look awesome, feel great, and are an absolute steal for the price.  You can't beat that.
