Moy Yat Wing Chun Butterfly Swords - D2 Blade

This model:
Blade Style: Moy Yat Stabber
Blade Length: 12 inches
Blade Steel: High-Quality German D2 tool Steel
Blade Grind: Lenticular Grind
Blade Sharpness: Not Sharp. 2mm edge.
Blade Measurements: Overall approx 18 inches. Blade approx 12 inches. See Photo with measurements indicated.
Sword Weight: Each sword weighs 700-760 grams. Avg 740g (or 1.63 lbs). Paired swords are generally within 10 grams (0.35 oz) of each other, but can sometimes be 60g apart (2oz).
D-Guard Steel: 430J1 Stainless
Handle Material: Black Laminated Stabilized Wood (designed to prevent cracking over time).
Flipping: Sword can be flipped and held in a reverse grip. The quillon style, however, is made for trapping more than flipping.
Notes: These swords are hand-made. No two swords are perfectly identical. Small variations in the measurements are typical.

You will notice that the D2 blades have an additional swage on the spine of the blade near the tip. The swage reduces the cross sectional profile of the spine at the tip, by virtue of beveling both sides at a medium angle. It can produce a serious point and tip. This aids in piercing, thus the common use of swages on military, combat, and tactical knife blades.

There were a very limited quantity of these swords made (5 of each).
If you do not order them you might miss out. Do not wait hoping/thinking we will have these again.
