It helps you develop contact reflexes, sensitivity and positioning. You learn to read lines of force (where your attacker's energy is coming from and going to) so you can redirect and manipulate their attack.

This increased sensitivity gained from Chi Sau drills helps you attack and counter an opponent's movements precisely, quickly and with the right technique.

Overall Chi Sau helps you to develop a true understanding of Wing Chun and improve your skills in a dynamic, real-life situation.

With this Chi Sau 1 - Foundations video you'll be introduced to the basic foundation of Chi Sau through Don Chi Sau (single sticking hands) and Lok Sau (rolling hands).

You'll also learn how to test the rolling hands structure through Tsui Ma (pushing horse) and apply basic footwork.
