4 Keys to Tracking Your Enemy

The ving tsun strategy depends on 3 key elements, of which facing the enemy squarely - called Doi Yeng - is one. This 45 minute workshop clearly explains what is this key element and provides exercises that you can use to practice.

Also included is a means to measure the quality of your facing so you can know exactly how good your facing is.

You will learn details about skills that are integral to being able to stay square with an opponent or partner who is constantly moving. These include:

- shifting to a new line
- using effective subtlety to dissolve incoming attacks
- holding the centerline

You will also learn to recognize when your opponent is not facing so you can take advantage of this opportunity and end the confrontation early.

We will discuss straight line theory and why some people have the mistaken impression that techniques swing in an arc. This workshop also clips in to the other pieces of the system to maintain systemic integrity - we ensure that none of the other rules of the system are broken.
