DVD 1 - Sil Lum Tao, Chum Kiu, Bil Gee
This first DVD demonstrates & explains the three hand forms; Sil Nim Tao, Chum Kiu, & Bil Gee. All forms are broken down & applied in detail to opponents. Wing Chun trapping techniques occupy the opponent’s defenses while the practitioner launches his own assault unhindered.
DVD 2 - Double Chi Sao
In the second DVD Sifu Chong instructs you in Double Sticky Hand (Chi Sao) exercises. Offensive & defensive techniques are thoroughly broken down and applied. Basic assumptions and positioning are quite different from the Yip Man style of Wing Chun.
DVD 3 - Wooden Dummy, Butterfly Swords, Longpole
In the third DVD Sifu Chong introduces and explains the Wooden Dummy form and weapons. The form is demonstrated, broken down, & applied to live adversaries.
The Wooden Dummy (Muk Yan Jong) is instrumental in teaching correct facing, power delivery, and grabbing. Wooden Dummy training and its appropriate application is a hallmark of an advanced Wing Chun practitioner.
The 6 ½ point staff and Butterfly Knife forms are demonstrated, broken down, & applied. The Staff is unique in that it is handled from the end as opposed to the center as common to other long range martial arts weapons. This gives the weapon extreme range and allows it to generate tremendous force and leverage.
Sifu Chong shows you the forms, training exercises, and applications to fully exploit the unique advantages of this weapon. Along with the Wooden Dummy, the Butterfly Knives are a signature tool of the accomplished Wing Chun practitioner.

At last someone has produced a simple, usable martial arts training program.
There are many good martial arts training programs on videotape, but videotape is inherently userunfriendly. It discourages the observer from pausing & repeating important scenes & sequences. Tape wear is a serious concern in watching your favorite program over & over again. Locating your favorite sequence is time-consuming & frustrating when you can’t find it quickly.
WING CHUN ON CD changes all that:
! Replay or pause your favorite sequences indefinitely. ! Change the screen size to view more detail.
WING CHUN ON CD is structured to maximize your training time by breaking the Wing Chun system down into usable, easy-to remember & apply techniques & exercises. You are coached in exact hand positioning & movement, qualities essential for successful Wing Chun.
Eddie Chong - Interactive CD ROM III: Chi-Sao & Sparring Applications
Sifu Chong demonstrates and teaches the Chi-Sao exercise and its importance to the Wing Chun system. Multiple camera views are shown to give you exact placement & positioning of your hands.
The CD shows how all the Forms, training drills, sensitivity drills lead up to self-defense & sparring.
Techniques in this CD are advanced & it is helpful to have experienced Chi-Sao already. However, every effort is made to show & explain to the beginning student how to perform Chi-Sao correctly.
Sifu Chong’s instruction progresses from Chi-Sao to trapping, a traditional stepping stone to full sparring. The trapping concept is demonstrated & the student is given the building blocks to develop their own trapping methods.
Sifu Chong progresses to the next level using the concept he has termed “Intercepting”. This is an abbreviated & more aggressive variation to trapping. Less one-on-one hand contact is used & he shows how to position yourself to take advantage of your opponent’s stance & positioning.
Sifu Chong’s techniques will leave you wondering “Why didn’t I think of that?”. His techniques are stripped down to bare essentials, but require you to think & position yourself proactively to deny your opponent any maneuvering room. |
