WCA Comments: This DVD goes over the history of Wing Chun, focusing mainly on Yip Man and Leung Jan. Mostly the history is the same as found elsewhere, but there are a few tidbits on Yip Man that you don't always hear elsewhere. He also talks about how some Sifu's learned part of the system from Yip Man, and then made up the rest or got the rest from some other source. They were real disciples, but moved away before finishing the system. He also talks about how people claim to have gotten the "Leung Bik" vs "Chan Wah Shun" versions of Yip Man's DVDs and dispels the myths. Overall, nothing much new here. A |
