I saw Master Kwok on the VCD of the first Wing Chun World Conference. I have to say, he is the daddy of chi sau. I know that Wong Shun Lung was called Gong Sau (King of Hands) but Master Kwok surely can't be far behind.
In this presentation of his chi sau seminar, he rolls hands with members of a Wing Chun school. All sizes, all levels and he eloquently shows you how to Listen with your hands and interpret the level of the person in front of you.
He also goes on to demonstrate how to deal with hard energy and soft energy alike.
His manner is gentle and non threatening, but watch closely, there are brief moments when you can see he is definitely a crouching tiger.
Master Kwok demonstrates and shows how to structure your Bong, Tan, Fook properly. For you forward energy practitioners out there, he tells why it doesn't work!
You will need to have a certain level of wing chun experience to enjoy this presentation, nothing for the beginner here. However, if you are really into having a good resource for wing chun, this is a must. Sam Kwok is definitely one of the top masters out there!
Finally, the only problem with this DVD is that it ends too soon.
