Urasuki Bowie Prototype Wing Chun Butterfly Swords (Collector's Series)

Only 1 pair of these swords have been made to date.

This is a pair of 2-in-1 Bowie style Butterfly Swords featuring a lenticular/convex grind on the outside and a chisel grind with Urasuki (a concavity) on the inside. This combination of grinds, done well as is the case here, are extraordinarily challenging. The plunge line curves gracefully to the choil and the spine features two scallops. Even though these knives look sharp, they are actually a 1 mm blunt. The blade steel is highly polished Bohler 440C weapons-grade stainless steel (the same kind of steel sold by knife supply houses to U.S. custom knife makers), and can be professionally sharpened. There is no logo on these prototypes. They were designed by Jeffrey D. Modell of Modell Design LLC (using the Tomb Warrior D Guard Modell Design created for Everything Wing Chun) and made by Forgemaster K. Ali of Ironman Steel. They are drop dead gorgeous.
