Nightmare Grind S-Curve Wing Chun Butterfly Swords

These limited-edition swords are the most beautiful and difficult to hand-make nightmare-grind Butterfly Swords we have ever offered. An incredible level of expertise and experience is reflected in the design. The primary cutting edge features multiple grinds. The spine of the blade is curved to more safely position the knives in a reverse grip versus the pointy-tips, and paralleled by curved fullers. The D Guard uses a deep “S” curve permitting a more comfortable reverse grip. This is appropriate only for experts with the ability to manipulate the exact placement of the knives in their hands as the D Guard is less restrictive of inadvertent forward fist/finger placement increasing the chances of getting hurt on an inexpert D-Guard stop or trap while using a forward grip. The ergonomic handle, however, has been especially designed to help facilitate proper forward grip positioning. On top of all that, the handle scales are rounded at the butt and fitted into a curved D-Guard end. This touch is merely aesthetic, but it takes one heck of a lot of craftmanship. The swage is blunt, the tip pointy. These are highly functional martial art and dangerous real weapons.

Every knife is hand-made of professionally tempered weapon's grade Boehler blade steel. The photos are of the actual pair.
