Jerry Hossom is one of the top U.S. custom knife makers and a true artistic national treasure. His knife, Retribution, was perfectly suited for Wing Chun BJD so all we did was scale it up for Wing Chun making only those adjustments deemed necessary to accommodate a D-Guard. We think you will really enjoy these fast and sturdy modern hybrid blades. This model is in Hamon. Learn More >>

Retribution Butterfly Swords v1 - Hamon

Blade Grade: Sifu Grade (Unique designs and/or fine quality weapons).
Blade Steel: AISI 1075 High Carbon Steel with hamon.
Blade Sharpness: Sharp.
Blade Finish: Glossy.
Handle Material: Brown Linen Micarta-type material w/ Red Liners. Note in the photos there are some indents near the pinky on one scale due to the innate nature of that specific piece of phenolic.
Weight: Sword 1: Approx 1 lbs 10.4 oz (751 grams). Sword 2: Approx 1 lbs 11.4 oz (778 grams).
Comments: This pair is made of AISI 1075 High Carbon Steel with a beautiful hamon. We have 2 pair from this material. The blades were finished in a method to achieve a weapons-grade temper and show the hamon, which you can feel as well as see. It is not a smooth mirror finish. We do not recommend touching the blade. The blades are carbon steel, so they need to be cleaned and re-oiled after every use.
