Buick Yip - MINI DESKTOP Wing Chun Wooden Dummy (aka Muk Yan Jong, or Mook Yan Jong)

These unique and high-quality mini-dummies from Buick Yip really look great! They are, by far, the best mini-dummies we have ever seen! They stand about 12.5 inches (31 cm) high and the dummy body is about 1.57 in (4 cm) in diameter. They come in Tiger Marble Wood or Lychee Wood. Specs are based off the full size dummies and look awesome.

Woods:

Lychee Wood wood is, by some, considered the best wood for dummies. It is extremely heavy and rare, meaning that the regular dummy trunk can weigh upwards of 150 lbs. The wood is very dense and has a reddish color. Lychee is the sole member of the genus Litchi in the soapberry family. It is a fruit tree grown in tropical and sub-tropical Asia. (3 of the pictures are of Lychee - notice the reddish color and tighter grains).

Tiger Marble Wood (pictured) is more dense and heavy than the regular marble. It gets its name from the striping effect sometimes apparent in the grain. The wood has a twisting nature which evolved to help it survive in severe climate conditions and abrupt changes in temperature, and it is this which gives the wood the marbling effect. This wood is very dense "like marble". It requires the most care to prevent cracking, but can also be the most beautiful.
