Books and DVDs that contain or focus on Bil Gee (Biu Jee), Wing Chun's third form.
Biu Gee, or "shooting fingers", is also known as "first aid hand" and is the last hand form taught in the Ip Man Wing Chun system. Biu Gee training is one of the keys to learning to focus energy into a strike. Biu Gee also develops devastating striking power, by combining focused strikes with the rotational energy developed by correct stance turning (Yiu Ma), as learned in the previous training of the Chum Kiu form.
Another key of Biu Gee training is to train the hands to regain the center if the centerline is lost or unguarded. The Biu Gee form teaches two unique methods of footwork, the use of "two direction energy" and how to control the opponent and effectively use continuous striking movements.
As Sifu John Crescione puts it in our interview with him, "Once we start to lose balance, our body's "self defense" mechanism starts to fire our postural muscles and makes keeping the head and body vertical a top priority. So our answer is to use the body, our horse, a different ging or energy and whatever portion of our bridge arm that is available to defend ourselves all at the same time AND hit the person as well."
Although this a very accurate statement, this is not something that is easily achieved. It takes years of training and more importantly the RIGHT knowledge to property master the techniques required for this level of Wing Chun.
