Jon Rister - Wing Chun 17 - Biu Gee, When NOT to Trap

From Sifu Jon Rister and Dr. Alfred Huang: Advanced technology for close combat.
Wing Chun Biu Gee, When NOT to Trap, is a companion to the 5 bridges and trapping hands videos. This video contains 6 elements of close combat training and avoiding IPC (Initial Point of Contact ) to set the opponent up for a devastating Cup Kuen or Cup Jarn using elements from Bui Gee and tactics that have a devastating impact on the opponent.

This Instructional video contains material and information (instruction) on how to execute attacks at close quarters (just inside trapping range), with the main emphasis on attacking and the defense being mainly as a fail safe. We will instruct you on how to use the elements found in Bui Gee form to bring in fast and devastating strikes to prevent the opponent from recovering from their initial attack . Once you have practiced the technical elements found in this video (combined with the previous RIMA trapping videos you will come to understand wing chun on a whole new level. Don’t stop here though, use these elements to provide your own applications of the forms as you will see them here out. Bui Gee Form is “urgent combat”, when in doubt whip it out! We cover elements from inside the arm as well as outside the arms, this will provide you with applications for the moments when time and preparation do not avail themselves.

Resolution: 1920x1080 Running Time: 30 minutes
