Wing Chun Butterfly Swords: Tanto (Prototype) XHP Blunt
MasterPath Custom Combat and Modell Design, LLC bring you another off-beat but functional design in XHP Super Steel.
This design is of an oversized Tanto made for great stabbing ability and with a hefty ability to chop.
In addition to a new blade design, this model also has the latest evolution of the Tomb Warrior D-Guard specially made to prevent weapons from slipping under the guard. It has file work on the spine to help trap swords or poles (if desired), but is still comfortable to use when in reverse grip.
Prototype: There are 5 swords available. 2 sharps (one in the UK and one in the USA, and 3 blunts (one in the UK, 2 in the USA). These swords are missing the sharp swage (the swage is blunt on these) and a choil with jimping the the top of the D-Guard (no choil/jimping on these). The grind is slightly different than designed. The handle measurements didn't match specs being slightly thinner and wider than designed. However, these are still really nice and functional swords, but the variations from the blueprint allows us to drop the prices when offering them to you. We are not sure if another model will be made.
