LINIMENT: Plum Dragon - Herbal Ice 4 oz

Type: Injury Liniment

Use/Description:
Made from the San Huang San formula!

San Huang San is a combination of 3 cooling herbs that effectively alleviate pain and inflammation in injuries. Unlike the ice pack that is used in Western settings, these 3 herbs help increase local circulation to break stasis, while cooling energy reduces heat and pain, helping accelerate and smooth the natural healing process. Try applying this liniment instead of ice and see the difference!

Additionally, we add 1 extra yellow which assists the original recipe by increasing local circulation to reduce stagnation from bleeding (hematoma): The Plum Dragon Herbs 4 yellows Herbal Ice formula is born!

To use Herbal Ice liniment, cover the injury with liquid and rub into skin. Repeat as often as needed to manage pain and swelling.

San Huang San reduces swelling while increasing circulation aiding in the restoration of normal movement and function quickly; reduces pain and stiffness without stagnation of the affected area. The herb formulation helps limit inflammation without prohibiting the production and distribution of the Insulin Growth Factor which supports the body’s natural immune response that is needed for rapid recovery.

Anytime you have a fresh injury with significant swelling and inflammation, or if you have tightness, sensitivity, and reduced range of motion, San Huang San should be one of the first things you consider using. - Greg Johnston, LAc
