Free-Standing Wing Chun Wooden Dummy in Sapele Wood(PRE-MADE)

EWC is happy to offer you this limited edition USA-made dummy with an African Sapele Mahogany exterior, arms and leg (instead of the normal Ash wood). Sapele (aka Sapele/Sapelli/Sapeli/Sapelle) is harder than Ash, Oak, or Maple. The Scientific name is Entandrophragma cylindricum. Janka Hardness: 1,410 lbf (6,280 N). Crushing Strength: 8,750 lbf/in2. Sapelli is a very popular African redwood often called Sapelli Mahogany (it is in the same family as Mahogany). Sapelli is harder and denser than Mahogany.

Notes: This dummy is pre-made and ships for free (ignore the "Build Time" section below). We ask for ~5 business days to have the carpenter ship it. You can also ignore the General information section that talks about Ash wood, as it is Sapelle here. And as this is a pre-made dummy there are no customization options.

The Elite Modern Free Stand:
Warrior Martial Arts Supply, our premier USA-based dummy carpenter, was the inventor of the modern-free-stand. You see this type of stand offered everywhere these days. Our version is different than the original in that it has a hexagon shape with a square back. This allows you to move around the dummy in the front, yet have a nice square are in the back tray for weights and the optional equipment boxes we sell.The modern-free-stand is ideal when room space and portability are a factor. This stand pairs perfectly with this particular MasterPath dummy.

This base is 36x36 inches and comes with four 3/4 inch space plates for a height adjustment of 3 inches. The weight tray at the rear of the stand can be weighed down with 70-100 lbs of sand, gravel, bricks, or metal weights. A 20-gallon plastic bin fits perfectly in the weight tray so you can load it up and prevent damage to the wooden base.
